MixingMeet(link to site) is a helpful app that is a fan recreation of the official Tamagotchi On App. There are often many questions that people want to know about so thought I'd give some info for anyone interested. These are just ones I know enough to answer, you will need to join the discord server for some stuff.(Especially since you need to join to get the app anyway)

Some of these might be obvious but it's good to just mention it just in case. I just thought I'd give info in case someone wants to know what they're getting into when getting the app & joining the server.

A section of questions you might want to know

A few things you need to know first are that MixingMeets is based on the On app so it's based on the English version not the Japanese one. That is not the version that was preserved, due to this any features that involved the Mix are not available. The Tamagotchi Meet & Tamagotchi On work just not the Tamagotchi Mix.

You will have to go to the discord & download from the channel called "🎮│download", instructions are in "❓│faq" but I'm also pretty sure there are videos that explain how to do this as well. There is also a channel old android phones(older than 7.1.1) & a channel for Google Pixel 7 or later cause of 64bits stuff.(There is a download for this version of the app & you can talk in the channel if you need help) There's also a channel were it's all in Japanese if you need to ask something in Japanese instead of English.

As long as the device has Android 4.4 or higher then it should be able to use the app. Some newer devices supposedly don't work with the app so be careful with what you buy to use this app. It's best to just look for a cheap android device with android 4.4 or higher if all else fails.

>Does this work on ios/will this come to ios?

This is android only, the people working on this have no plans to make an ios version & they legally can't put it on the app store especially since this is a fan revival of an official app that Bandai owns the rights to

>The game at the Tama Depa Shop crashed when I was suppose to get my points

The game is known to do that & I don't think there's a way to fix it. Your score will be counted though, if you want to play the game without it crashing there's a reskin of it in the main menu/home area if you press "Family Play" it doesn't freeze at the end

>Can I make an account/where is my ID & password?

No the app makes one for you(if you delete the app & reinstall it or put it on another device it gives you a new one), just go to settings then check profile & click on your character's talking bubble.(Tamagotchi On ID) Password is in "Challenge" on the home menu(scroll to the bottom), you put these in on the MixingMeet website. The account is only used for keeping track of your family trees & your TamaDex.(Something just for fun to track what genes you got from the Tamagotchi available on the app)

>Can I transfer my account?

You are unable to transfer your account from one device to the other. The app will make you a new account on the new device & there's not much that can be done. You can still link your discord to both accounts though which I dunno if that helps past knowing which accounts belong to this person.

>Can I request certain characters?

The people working on it & the Discord Mods have mentioned they aren't accepting requests. Tamagotchi available are ones from the stations & from contests on the official app. Characters from Magic & Fairy are considered common so aren't showing up, Sanrio & Wonder Garden/Fantasy tamas were in a contest at some point(at least according to one answer) plus it's hard to get some of the devices so they're on the app. I might be off but this is from what I know from some stuff

Sometimes there's an error or someone was unable to answer quick enough. Just try again & if they reject you again try someone else.

>I'm having connection issues

Make sure bluetooth & locations are on. If that isn't the issue you might need to try reconnecting a few times cause sometimes you need to try again. If that doesn't work then ask someone on the discord server cause they can help you better.

>How do I tell if someone is an NPC?

You can check their family tree & if it's blank then they're an NPC. Users' tamas have a thing above them that shows the amount of likes they get while in the app.(The likes don't stay, likes, friends lists & saved tamas don't stay when you go into the app next)

>Do the NPCs change?

They change every 2 hours, you can check on the MixingMeets website.(Don't need to login to check) You can also see all the available tamas at the bottom of the same page.

>Do you know what the app works on?

I only added this to make one bit above more cleaned up. Keep in mind I don't know phones so I'm going off info. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 works, Retroid Pocket 3+ works but do not buy it if you only want it for this app. Someone asked about Samsung s24 but I guess it's a newer phone cause someone that knows better said the app doesn't work properly on newer phones. Someone mentioned Nexus 7 work but take that with a grain of salt. Kindle Fire does not work, some people tried to see if it'd work but someone said it didn't work.

One punch Boys and how they feel about being pregnant

Did you say “Valid as fuck excuse to retire from heroing”? Because that’s what he heard.

This man would be popping bottles if it wouldn’t hurt his new internal tamagotchi.

Immediately sends a mass email telling everyone he knows from the association so they won’t worry when he doesn’t show up to meetings. (And also so they don’t ask him to.)

Because of his previous career as a hero and living below his means for so long he has quite a lot of money saved up and is quick to make an elaborate budget and start looking up larger residences. 

His general reaction will be positive regardless of whether he’s happily married and the baby was planned or if this was the result of a random hook up.

The only things that change are his nanny budget and what he tells the press. If this was a hookup baby then he’s telling every reporter that asks about the father that they were an “Anonymous donor” which isn’t really a lie, technically.

*Deep breath* AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Immediately rushes to the doctor, not to get rid of it but to make sure his powers aren’t going to mess with the baby.

The answer is yes and no. His regenerative powers are causing seriously accelerated cell growth, but his reproductive system has dealt with that by splitting the initial zygote into multiple babies and growing them faster than normal. Repeat screaming.

He’s only going through with this if he’s already mated and moved in with his alpha, otherwise it would be totally irresponsible of him to keep multiple babies.

He loves his kids more than anything but he 100% has the worst pregnancy experience, all the symptoms are magnified, all the medicine he’s given doesn’t get processed properly by his body so it’s useless, he gets so hungry so fast he almost takes a bite out of his alpha and suddenly everyone is allergic to minding their own damn business.

Ends up taking something more like an extended vacation than retiring, he recovers from everything too quickly to justify to himself not going out and saving people.

Genos

Has to have a test tube baby since he’s basically just a brain in a hunk of metal.

“Damn, this is gonna be expensive.” 

Has a very delayed reaction to the whole thing, it’s totally possible it won’t fully sink in that he’s a mom until he’s holding a whole baby in his arms.

In the meantime he’s just living his life about the same as he always was minus alcohol and sushi.

He’ll be 8 months pregnant and punching aliens into oblivion.

Wins award for most clueless new mom. Maternal instincts of a brick this one.

Garou honestly has to double check he’s still pregnant once in a while, his body doesn’t start noticeably changing until the final trimester and his symptoms are very mild. He didn’t even have any kind of morning sickness.

Fully committed to giving birth at home in his bathtub because he thinks the government will show up to take his baby and train it to be a super soldier or something and he’ll never see them again. Saitama said that “sounds like something the government would do.” While they were randomly getting udon together one day. Saitama’s emails from the hero association get a lot more passive aggressive after that, not that he notices.

Izuru Kira:

Yes. Absolutely. He’s been waiting for you to join the pool since the moment your model leaked. He joined the fanfiction contest to win your merch (and loses). The rush of joy from hearing your voice line when he pulls you brings tears to his eyes and he absolutely ignores how concerning that is.

Akon:

He will and he’ll shamelessy whale. He’s too busy to farm currency and it’s not like he’s strapped for cash. 100% he’s working on a VR model of you as soon as you’re announced. You’re always on the team no matter how useless you are on a given mission or level because he loves a challenge.

Shuhei Hisagi:

He blames the fuck out of Izuru and Akon for getting him addicted to the game—and worse, excited about a bunch of pixels. But he is, so excited. He joins the fanfiction contest for you (and wins). And he sacrifices half a week of lunches to pull you. Your phone charm is proudly displayed. He is wrangled into even more debt to Urahara for the merch conversion.

Rangiku Matsumoto:

She saw Shuhei’s phone charm, thought it was really cute, and loves the idea of a phone game to pass the time during all the time passing she does on the clock. She gets you on her first pull and shows Shuhei. “Look, it’s just like your cute little phone charm!” Her rng luck is so insane that both Shuhei and Izuru have her pull for them (it doesn’t rub off).

Nanao Ise:

Although she very much did not appreciate Rangiku downloading a game on her phone, she did give it a chance. In secret. Facing away from any windows. She doesn’t care much for the gacha aspect, but finds the game play passable. She diligently does her dailies & events and that’s it. It’s alright stress relief. You go unpulled.

Shunsui Kyoraku:

Shunsui easily finds his way into Nanao’s phone and discovers your game sitting right next to a shogi app. He downloads it and is delighted by all the characters! He doesn’t understand how to play but skids through the tutorial. He pulls for you, fails, and doesn’t understand how to pay for currency. He does take a screenshot of you and ask Nanao ‘Let me borrow them from you!’ He barely escapes alive.

Harribel Tier:

Shunsui flaunts your game around in their monthly Peace meeting and she demands an upgraded soul phone. Much like Shunsui, she doesn’t understand the game. But she wants to pull for you. Her three adjuchas bicker endlessly over small print until they figure out how to pull and the most effective way to pull in consideration to chance percentages. She treats you like a tamagotchi (that needs no care and doesn’t die).

Bandai Teases Upcoming Tamagotchi Uni Tamaverse Features

We love an update, and it looks like the next update is going to introduce some new features other than just a new Tama Arena event. Bandai Japan and US have just recently shared on their social media profiles that the next update is going to have three new features that they’re excited about, and these two features remind us of the beloved Tamagotchi Meets/On app.

In the next update, you’ll be able to send hearts to Tamagotchi characters in the Tamaverse! Plus, there will be a new way to greet each other! Based on the screenshots provided, it looks like you’ll be able to set your own greetings.

Third is a new way to connect! Bandai Japan and US have teased that the new update will add a new way to connect and play with your friends!

Can’t wait for the next update, which we anticipate should be out next week.

First messaging app: does anyone remember kik? It was the popular app when I was in high school. I had one because the Cool Kids told me I needed one and then used it maybe twice, lol.

Pickles, yes or no: yes! The electrolytes and health benefits from fermentation are so helpful for my stomach issues. I used to buy gigantic jars of the big sour dill ones to snack on.

Favorite mythical creature: oooh, this is tough. I was a big fan of alicorns and unicorns as a kid. These days, I’m into dragons, kelpies, and mermaids. I adore animals, and that includes the mythical ones.

Longest book series you've read: I read all of the books set in the House of Night world as a teen. If we include novellas and spinoffs, I think there are almost twenty? The world-building intrigued me, but I didn’t really like most of the characters. Looking back now, those books are pretty problematic.

Playstation, Xbox, or Nintendo controller layout: PC gaming is my preference, actually. Gaming in general isn’t super accessible to me as a blind person. There are accommodations to make console gaming doable, but most of them are more trouble than they’re worth.

time to get out of bed: I’m usually up by 11am at the latest on the days my chronic illnesses are being kind to me. If not, I don’t force myself out of bed at a set time. If I’m really struggling, my sleep schedule will flip and I’ll transform into a nocturnal gremlin.

Did you ever have a Tamagotchi: Someone once gave me a used one as a Christmas present. It was already dead and I didn’t know how to, or if I could, undead it. That made me really sad. My autistic brain had already gotten attached to that little pixilated guy without even meeting it.

Started using the Finch app since apparently it’s especially good for neurodivergence when it comes to habit tracking and mood diary keeping, the stuff that will please my therapist.

I had an honest — brutal, frankly — conversation with my notifications. And it's been nice. i’m hoping i have money next month when the tamagotchi uni comes out. it looks really cute and i’m soooo glad they went back to regular buttons and basically abandoned all the gimmicky shit from the pix. the “tama verse” sounds like an in-device version of the meets app, not sure if i prefer that over a mobile app, will have to see how it plays. i also LOVE that it’s rechargeable, my On eats aaa’s like no ones business. i also really hope they eventually come out w/ a sanrio uni, tho i’m almost certain they will bc they’ve released sooooo many sanrio pets over the years. the TRUE miracle would be an english language sanrio tama.

Tamagotchi On Location 4

I got this yesterday but had stuff going on so didn't get to posting this

I unlocked the salon, also got a new menu design but due to limits(10 pics per post on mobile app) I can't show everything. It's not a big deal cause it's text over a white screen.

Wanted to show Sweettchi changing colors for this to work. I mostly just turned her white with ice cream & turned her pink again with peaches I got from Mixing Meet.

Ice cream took a bit cause she was full, interesting how most snacks count towards the hunger meter cause snacks usually only count towards the happiness meter.

Peaches on the other hand didn't affect the hunger meter which after dealing with the other snacks surprised me.

The average phone/browser has a unique ad id which tracks users between sites (like insta/youtube) and apps.

They use this to work out whether their ad campaign was successful (i.e. did customer 1 see our ad and then download the app?).

They also use analytics provided by google to know audience interests. i.e. their market may be in the venn diagram of mountaineering and tamagotchi. Weirdly the game theme rarely matches to interests.

They may also use browser profiling (i.e. what plugins you do/don't have, what settings are on, etc to identify an individual), and I've spoken with people who actively lament privacy implementations because they hamper their hokey business model.

Most games are made based on the success of what came before.

This seems like an obvious one, but most companies aren't innovating new designs. They just see what has sold previously and make more of that. Remember Minecraft and the open world crafters that came afterwards? Remember "souls-like" games?

In a recent meeting my game was decided to be "too new and weird" and instead they showed me their flagship game about a kid and his dog with awful art made using a game template and declared it the best of that genre.

Original research and development is reserved for actual indie developers so they can take all the risk. Then the companies swoop down with a bigger ad budget and take the ideas wholesale.

No, this particular advice is for advertising on rebbit and Twitter etc where they encourage indie devs to talk about """their experience""" making a game and carefully hand pick the most flashy screenshots and video. All of it is fake, from the persona of the struggling artist to the carefully crafted title and the people who come in later asking for a link to the game. They'll gather a few upvotes from their employees when the post launches to make sure it starts off well.

When the quarterly profits need to look good they fire a few people.

I was told by a director that if a game wasn't going to increase its profit that year they were considering firing the team so they could retain profits for themselves and their stakeholders instead of putting it into the developers. This is mostly because they've got investor cash and the investors must be appeased. Essentially investors make an investment (duh) and want to see a return (increase) on that investment.

Attention retention is the name of the game.

A metric for success in games is how long the game is running on the target machine. As you can imagine this can lead to all kinds of fuckabouts including bigger assets to make the game take longer to load, making gameplay purposefully addictive or the odds of winning much lower.

Weirdly enough this is also a metric for success in dating apps - the longer they can leave customers dangling at the end of the hook the longer they'll be on the app, thus the more premiums they pay as they get more desperate for success.

You're absolutely right about this. Eventually, one day, the world will realize how shit the internet has become and will either leave or start a new service or world or even spread out. We're are no longer in the age of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 is not some crypto scam bullshit or "metaverse". It's bullshit to trick us all into believing its some corporate bullshit. Its really all of us. Leaving these major websites, hell even leaving the Web. Growing our own communites and circles, of course at the cost of many other older communites, we're already seeing the effects of it.

Everything is changing before our eyes. We're moving back to what we lost or gaining back what we lost. We're trying to go back to a day before the internet was controlled by various profiteering groups. Back before when some dumb fuck wanted to start a patreon and we all fucking jumped the dumb fuck for even thinking about profiting off his channel. Back to *maybe* geunine human, non-algorithmic human interaction. Sure, it may never happen, but deep down I feel it. The world is changing before maybe to better world and we'll see the end of it in a new hope.

Or we all turn schizo and nuke each other after twitter users finally gain access to government postions and nuke us all to the ground because we said racial slur at some point. (I'm joking of course)

Hello again! Let’s jump right in with generation 18 this time. You’re up first, Hinamitchi!

Luckily for me, she turned out just as cute as the teen stage! Though the body type is proving persistent, I don’t mind this combo at all.

The past few gens have been a lot of me thinking I finally understand how traits get passed down, only to be wrong in one way or another...but the frosting hair wasn’t a surprise at all! Not once I noticed that one parent and one grandparent on each side had it.

Even so, I kinda feel like this was an ambitious pairing on my part! ^^; But recently I’ve wanted a jellyfish tama...maybe this time it’ll happen?

Princitchi takes a bit more closely after the Pompomtchi and Memetchi ancestry on the Magical, though...

Thank goodness for that! The difference in hair means the actual eyes get to show! A major improvement from last gen, even if it’s a small one.

That said? The pompom head without the pompoms is not what I expected. Are those horns or something? I don’t get it...

Speaking of unexpected: He paired up with this cute tama in Tama Party! I was online at a time when there weren’t many tamas around. So I said, “If I make a match with someone, I’ll go through with it, as long as it isn’t a guest tama!” And somehow this happened the very first round Princitchi did. I think they look good together though! :)

Meanwhile, on the Sanrio, Frostitchi has grown up too...

...into a very cute little puffball. Again, no floppy ears, but I do like the flower crown and the pet! (which I keep forgetting is Pompompurin’s so I can just get it whenever -_-; )

Amount of surprise at ending up with Lovelitchi body again: very tiny. (not to say that I wasn’t disappointed for a second there...change is fun, give me new overall looks please!)

Last but not least, Rabuhimetchi! 

It’s kinda interesting to have two different tamas that are basically the same base, but so different in accessories. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes with their kids.

On that note: lots of cute twins are incoming! And I’ve decided that at times like this, where all the pictures won’t fit, I’ll toss in some shorter posts with some of my favorite tama pics. Not on any set day or anything, just when the mood hits. It’s mostly because I take way more photos than I can fit in one post, but these weekly posts cover most of what I want to share about each gen.

Oh, one more thing! I finally got a bluetooth dongle, so somewhere in the future: myMeets content will show up on image-post-days, too. (no direct alterations on the tama, just items/games/wallpaper)

Bandai Namco Mobile Releases Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom Update 2

The big update is here, aka version 1.2.0! After a few teasers, Bandai Namco Mobile has released update 2 for the popular Apple Arcade Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom game. The game was released with lots of bug fixes, and even a new town, Antique Town! In Antique Town you’ll contribute ancient relics and sparking gems to the TamaTama Museum.

You can now purchase vinyl’s for Jukeboxtchi in Gramophonitchi’s shop. There’s even a variety of new characters to meet. There’s even new guests added to existing areas! New accessories and decorations have also been added, two new royal trials, and special vendors are now easier to find. Recycle all trash items at once, and many bugs are fixed! Be sure to update your app today!

New collection: the Tamatama Museum awaits at the entrance of Antique Town, and will ask you to bring Gems and to dig up relics.

Bug fixes:

Less crash on low memory devices

Fixed a bug in the mine, where a decoration item could be freed with the shovel but couldn't be collected

Fixed a bug where players didn't get their quest completed after freeing the Gotchi King.

Fixed a bug on one of Nazotchi's quests asking to deliver a package.

Fixed a bug where Nemutchi kept asking a Gumatchi plushie even though players had one in their backpack.

Fixed a bug of Agetchi having disappeared.
